Australia has been fighting wildfires for over three months. So far, the fire has consumed 10,300,000 ha, destroyed 2,000 homes and killed 28 people and 500,000,000 animals! According to the media, 1/3 of the koala population has died in flames. We remind you that they are under protection. Many people and organizations around the world have started supporting and collecting funds for victims in Australia.
Polish firefighters are coming to help!
In Poland, one of the flagship campaigns is the collection run by the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Poręba Spytkowska. Firefighters collect funds using the pomagam.pl website (here). Their goal is an amount of PLN 500,000. Within a few days of opening the collection, over 80% of the sum was collected! Volunteers ensure that the funds go to the right hands. In a secure transfer, state institutions are to help, among others, the Minister of the Interior, the Polish Consulate in Australia and the Australian Embassy in Poland.

LoanMe is supporting Australia and helping firefighters!
The devastation that has hit Australia is shocking. LoanMe employees do not remain indifferent, even if events happen at the other end of the world. Therefore, in consultation with the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Poręba Spytkowska, we have also organized a financial fundraiser in our office to support firefighters’ cause. The campaign continues until further notice. All funds raised will be included in the Volunteer Fire Brigade’s collection.
