Maciek Koziorowski is a 24-year-old athlete. As a result of a car accident, his brain was seriously injured and he fell into a coma. Maciek needs intensive physical therapy. His family and close friends are doing everything in their powers to help him fight for recovery. This is how the #DoJednejBramkizMaćkiem (#To one goal with Maciek) initiative was created.
Maciek’s story
Maciek was passionate about football from an early age. At school, he was always first on the pitch. For 5 years he played in the district league as a Midfielder on the "Skra Drobin" football team. In his short sports career, he played almost 60 matches, 90% of which he began in the first squad. The team was like a family to him.
December 13th 2016…
On the 35th anniversary of the introduction of martial law, Maciek's family and friends experienced dramatic moments. It was on that day that his life was threatened. In the late evening, near his home, the 21-year-old athlete had a car accident. Maciek suffered serious brain damage and fell into a coma ... The next 24 hours were critical. Thanks to the help of doctors and physiotherapists, he was awakened several months later, and his condition was considered stable.

Maciek while under a coma, as well as after waking up, needs intensive physical therapy. Unfortunately, it is very expensive. His loved ones decided to act! They created the #DoJednejBramkizMaćkiem (#To one goal with Maciek) campaign and under this slogan began a public fundraiser for his treatment. They also organized many events, including: a charity indoor football tournament and two editions of concerts in the rhythms of disco polo music! The proceeds from the events were intended for Maciek's physical therapy.

LoanMe supports Maciek!
Maciek's story touched many hearts. LoanMe employees could not remain indifferent to his fate, so we decided to help! A financial fundraiser for Maciek was organized in our office. We are collecting money until the end of November.
The action reached far beyond Poland!
Gerry Blynberg, a French celebrity and automotive journalist, also learned about the young athlete’s story, and decided to play #DoJednejBramkizMarek (#To one goal with Maciek) with LoanMe! In an interview with our reporter, he admitted that he learned about Maciek from the Internet:
- Some time ago I came across a video on YouTube from Joanna Krupa's party where LoanMe collected money for an animal shelter. I wanted to see what else this company is doing. I wrote on Facebook and saw a post about Maciek.

The tireless efforts of friends of the 24-year-old footballer touched the journalist. Soon, Gerry organized the Prorider Tour in France. It was then that he decided to take part in the race especially for Maciek!
After the first leg of the race, Gerry Blynberg handed over a check in the amount of PLN 5,000 to our reporter for the further physical therapy of Maciek!

The campaign continues in our office, and coverage of the Prorider Tour will soon be available on our YouTube channel!
